"Never leaving us alone,
Never have I ever known

(With apologies to Alan Lerner.)
And the currawong was not "oozing charm from every pore'.
This pair of kestrels spent most of the evening trying to shake off a currawong. Occasionally a sulphur-crested cockie joined in. The kestrels have amazing arial evasive skills. They circle higher and higher in quite tight circles, then dive into a tree leaving the fray wondering what happened.
Callum Brae, Australian Capital Territory, September 2016.
And another wet week ahead.
