Toyo-Sony-Mamiya-Hybrid

A hybrid camera comprised of a Sony NEX 5 for digital capture, large-format Toyo 45G for technical movements, and Mamiya RB67 lenses. NEX adapter is made of the following 58mm (male) reverse macro > 58mm (female) to 52mm (male) step up filter ring> 52mm UV filter reverse mounted (female towards body) > 52mm (female) to 58mm (male) step down filter ring. Adapter and rings available from ebay, and total cost including shipping was $14.95. Lens board hole is 54mm, the diameter of the UV filter, the UV filter goes through the lens board and held on each side by the 52mm-58mm adapters. Gaskets made of rubber bands and paper shims used to make a tight fit. Use bubble level to ensure that NEX is aligned with the lens board. Mamiya lens mounted via a flange taken from a broken Mamiya RB67 screwed onto a Toyo lens board. Mamiya lens can also be mounted directly onto a 4x5 lens board by disassembling, then using only the front and rear lens cells, and the aperture housing.
