Taken with the Lensbaby Sol 22

It's been ages since I last used my Lensbaby Sol 22 lens. When I flipped through the LB folder, I realised that maybe this lens benefits from a somewhat tighter composition or a close-up with its crazy bokeh and the wild, tilt-shift-like (only much stronger) distortion. Because in all the wider-looking scenes, the "Sol 22 look" is a little over the top. One might argue that this is the purpose of most LBs, but... ;)

In this close-up, the image looks almost as if I had taken it with a regular 20 (= 40 in FF) or 25mm lens, and only the bokeh in the upper right, which reminds me of motion blur, tells a different story. That and the strange sensation that, when looking longer at the blossom, it seems to get bigger slowly. Do you see that, too?

The Hibiscus plant that stays indoors from late autumn until spring, and "lives" on the balcony during the warm months, is a few years old now, and I hope that soon, probably in June, the vibrantly orange-red blossoms will be back.

HSS, Everyone!
