Another Knife, Another Zigzag :)

This is one of those "one last try" images, taken this afternoon. Not that I didn't have a few decent photos from yesterday, but the nicely textured serrated edge of the first knife that I'd photographed for the "Zigzag" theme, a breakfast knife and apparently the "cutting edge" for Sunday breadrolls, turned out surprisingly soft and way more "sigsag"/wave-like than I had thought. Not surprisingly, a serrated edge on a knife is called "Wellenschliff" ("wave cut") in German. Well, at least I know now what I will photograph for a possible future "knife" theme ;).
So I gave it a try with another breakfast knife with a more zigzag-like looking edge which is what you can see here. To block out the daylight (not that there was that much light today), I've again used a black cardboard box and its lid as a "no light" box. In addition to the red light from the left I've held my small LED flashlight (no filter, light set on "spot") over the knife's blade (from the right).
Technical info: 15 images in-camera focus stacking, processed in DXO PL5 and Lightroom. Size: Each of the tiny "teeth" is slightly less than 1 mm / 0,03 inches wide. Photographed with the cheap but very good M.Zuiko 30mm F/3.5 macro lens that has a 35mm equivalent maximum image magnification of 2.5x. You can get very close to your subject with it, and I think the UV filter that I use for protection has already saved the front element of this lens from serious damage more than once ;),
HMM, Everyone, and have a nice week ahead!
