Diamonds Are...

...Forever? A Girl's Best Friend? One thing is for sure, (real) diamonds are expensive. And if you do not only want to take your Breakfast at Tiffany's, with your take-out coffee in one hand and your breakfast sandwich in a paper bag in the other, wistfully looking at the window display, but actually go inside and buy yourself the real thing, you'll need: Money. Which is why I chose the - mirror-inverted - Dollar symbol to arrange these tiny blingy thingys, because it is the one universal symbol that is not only a national currency sign, but synonymous with money per se, understood everywhere and by everyone (please note: absolutely no political or other ulterior motives involved here).

So, you've already guessed so, only the bling (and the dust) is real here, the stones are not, they are #Fake. I once got a bag full of assorted Swarovski stones as a present, they come in many different shapes, colours (white, pink, purple) and sizes, and for this I've used the smallest stones from the bag. Each one is less than 3 mm / 0,118 inches in diameter, and the whole length of the Dollar sign is 3,5 cm / 1,37 inches. Since it is all about fake here, I also arranged the glass stones as an inverted Dollar symbol - the way it's done with play money: It should look kind of real, but not too real, so you won't get into trouble ;-) As for the other real thing here, the dust: "The best things in life are free...", and dust particles are always so good at faking stars, aren't they? Stardust... ;-)

A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
