My Pet Alien
Outtake for Macro Monday's "Abstract Macro" theme which I did not find abstract enough for the group's pool. But I like the "alien" appearance when one gets really close. It's a humble succulent (an echerveria pulvinata, I guess) which I brought along from the DIY store. The tiny leaf in the center is just about 3 mm / 0,11811 inches in diameter. The leaves are thick, seemingly furry, for which reason it is also known as "plush plant" in the anglophone world (I didn't know that!). Well, the leaves certainly feel nicely soft, indeed kind of plushy.
Please press "Z" and take a closer look at the "fur". It reminds me of tentacles.

Zweitversion für das Macro-Monday-Thema "Abstract Macro", die mir nicht abstrakt genug war. Es ist eine bescheidene Sukkulente aus dem Baumarkt, ich glaube eine Echeveria pulvinata, wegen der (scheinbar) pelzigen Blätter im englischsprachigen Raum auch "Plüschpflanze" genannt. Wenn man ganz nah herangeht (das Blättchen in der Mitte hat gerade mal gut 3 mm Durchmesser), hat sie durchaus etwas Außerirdisches, finde ich. Bitte "Z" drücken und den "Pelz" mal genauer betrachten, mich erinnert er an Tentakel. Oder auch eine Katzenzunge ;-)
