A Passion Play
Happy Sliders Sunday on the first Sunday in 2019, Everyone!
Some colourful and passionate Summer greetings to brighten up the mostly dark and grey days (at least in Germany it is at the moment...), taken last July on my balcony. This simply had to be "slid"; the passion flower had coiled itself around the wrought-iron balcony railing and there was plenty of green from other balcony plants right behind the blossom so it was impossible to properly knock out the background. I used a soft white vignette and a texture (from ON1 Photo RAW, I couldn't find a suitable photo for it in my archives) for the background and increased the purple, red, and magenta saturation, enhanced the foliage, clarity and details on the blossom in Luminar.
A Passion Play it is, not only because this is a passion flower, but because for most of us photography is a passion. I wish all of you great photo opportunities, lots of fun with taking photos, new photographic experiences in 2019!
Ein farbenfroher Sommergruß von meinem Balkon, aufgenommen im letzten Juli, um Euch die überwiegend grauen, trüben Tage etwas aufzuhellen (wirkt schon - gerade kommt die Sonne mal raus!).
Ein offensichtlicher Kandidat für den Sliders Sunday; die Passionsblume hatte sich um das schmiedeeiserne Gitter meines Balkons gewunden (und ist immer noch da, ich hoffe, sie zeigt sich im Frühjahr wieder) und direkt hinter der Blüte war auch reichlich anderes Grün von anderen Balkonpflanzen, sodass es unmöglich war, die Blüte freizustellen. Um den Hintergrund etwas in selbigen treten bzw. nicht ganz so auffällig wirken zu lassen, habe ich dafür eine weiche weiße Vignette verwendet und eine Textur (direkt aus ON1 Photo RAW, ich konnte keine passende in meinem Fotoarchiv finden); bei der Blüte habe ich in Luminar per Maske die Sättigung der Rot-, Lila- und Magentatöne erhöht und die Grüntöne sowie Klarheit und Details verbessert.
