A Rose for Peace – Bridging Gap Between Communities
A group of Muslim men and women gathered at KBR National Park in
Hyderabad today to spread the message of peace and harmony - at a time
when different communities seem to be disturbed by Akbaruddin Owaisi’s
hate speech.
Volunteers of Jamaat-e-Islam Hind’s local chapter distributed white
roses among the evening joggers at the park for bridging the gap
between communities.
While men exchanged current issues concerning both communities, women
tried to convince over 300 walkers about the necessity of communal
harmony for a health society.
The volunteers also invited these joggers and walkers for an
inter-faith dialogue to be conducted on Sunday in a three-day ‘Spring
of Islam’ conference at Nizam College Ground in Basheerbagh.
In the conference, which is slated to begin Friday, national and
international speakers are schedule to speak on topics ranging from
gender justice to human rights.
