Stranger 20 of 100: Sarah

I was walking through Union Square this afternoon to find some place to each lunch and do some christmas shopping for my wife. As I was walking through I was approached by Sarah. She was conducting a survey on if the small “temporary” pedestrian friendly area they had set up temporarily should become permanent. The survey literally took a minute or two and after that I told her about my project.

As you can image as she approached me I was already thing, “got to get this stranger”. She had on that bright blue jacket and they had artificial turf on the street. I figured that would make for a great portrait. It helped quite a bit that Sarah was extremely outgoing and happy to talk with me. She told me she enjoyed what she was doing because she gets to talk to people. After discussing a bit, I told her that I kind of get in trouble when walking in San Francisco because I make eye contact with all kinds of people looking for interesting faces to photograph. She agreed because it turns out she sketches portrait. Either it was a great encounter.

Sarah thank you for taking the time to talk and be apart of my project!
