Once a week to Penn Yan

I showed up at the Finger Lakes Rwy yard near Himrod not long after sunrise after sleeping in the Tunnage at Watkins Glen the night before (the first night this trip that it was warm enough to sleep with the windows open all night). Not really knowing what Brian Plant's "except Wednesdays they go north" advice was going to mean I was perplexed as he (this is the one man remote job) shoved 2 cars north of the crossing at the north end of the yard and started switching. After a little bit he tied back onto the cars, pulled the point of the move to himself and started shoving north. I really didn't know dickshit about what they did here so I went up to Himrod Junction and watched him start up the line towards Penn Yan.

Maybe 40 minutes later here's the train passing a farm at Milo Center as the cows keep an eye on Erie who was leaning out the drivers side window behind me.
