Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle is a medieval castle located in the city of Cardiff, Wales. The original motte and bailey castle was built in the late 11th century by Norman invaders on the site of a 3rd century Roman fort. Then in the 12th century, it was rebuilt in stone.

In the 12th and 13th centuries, Cardiff Castle was repeatedly attacked by the Welsh, and in 1404 was stormed by the Welsh national hero Owain Glyndŵr.
