RAF BE2e fighter
Raoyal Airforce BE2's were used during World War 1 both as fighter planes, and for forward observation. The aircraft, shown here at Shuttleworth, registration A2943, is actually an exact replica perfectly constructed in New Zealand and shipped to England, where it is on loan to the WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust (WAHT).
It is painted in the livery of 7 Squadron, which operated on the Western Front, working mainly in an observation role.
