Queen Sliverleaf, at the age of 20, sought a powerful artifact known as the Ring of Dreams, which was said to be located within the Labyrinth of Mist, beyond The Wall of King Ore-wood. This wall, constructed 1,600 years prior, lies to the east of The Green Canyon.
The Ring of Dreams grants its wearer the ability to make their dreams feel real and to exert full control over their dream world. Sliverleaf's primary motivation for acquiring the ring was to achieve "endless kinky sex" both in her waking life and while asleep, thereby creating a continuous cycle of sexual pleasure. She openly communicated this desire to her knight.
The legend surrounding the ring dictates that anyone wishing to possess it must first locate Princess Alora, who has been in a 1,600-year slumber within the labyrinth. Over time, Alora's proficiency in dreaming grew to such an extent that elements from her dream world began to manifest in the real world. Sliverleaf also coveted this ability, believing that if she could manifest her dreams, she would attain a goddess-like status.
The Ring of Dreams was forged by the Mattermind, who also created the Mirror of Knowing A portion of the Mattermind's soul and mind resides within this mirror. Mattermind is not considered one of the six deities of Dommalex. Lore suggests that the Mattermind was once a genie whose lamp was destroyed by Queen Yasmine. After making her three wishes, Queen Yasmine wished for Mattermind to lose the power to grant wishes, to always assist people in finding what they seek without directly giving it to them, and finally, she wished to free Mattermind, which resulted in the destruction of the lamp. As Mattermind's soul was composed of smokeless fire, it subsequently became trapped within a mirror, thus earning the new name, the Mirror of Knowing.
Queen Sliverleaf, accompanied by many of her knights, journeyed to The Wall of King Ore-wood. She chose to wait outside the Labyrinth of Mist while her knights searched for Princess Alora's location. Her plan was to enter the labyrinth once Alora was found and then request the ring from the princess. Despite weeks of searching by her knights, the ring remained undiscovered.
