Late Night Petals
Once again an early evening shot taken at Leybourne Lakes in Kent. I'm so lucky that I live so close to an endless supply of sunset shots.
I've recently been asked to post on How'd You Do That ... so here goes ...
First of all I am lucky to live so close to the lakes. That helps and allows me to watch the sky and therefore waste less time thinking will i get a good sunset or not.
The shot itself was taken from behind the flower with the intention of having the focal point and the exposure taken on the petals. Believe it or not there is no photoshopping. It is a single image, presented as taken. In many ways what I call my "one click wonders" as I took just the one shot and it came out perfect. No multiple exposures, no bracketing this is it !!
It was taken without a tripod and not even using a digital SLR. I now have a Canon 30D but this was taken using my Fuji S602Z. In many ways its ability to deal with low light is better than the Canon. So thats about it really although as always I would say that the two most important tools used were my eyes and my legs :)
