Στα ανατολικά της πόλης Της Ρόδου διασώζεται ένα σημαντικό κομμάτι της αρχαίας Ρόδου. Το αρχαίο λιμάνι που σήμερα λέγεται Μανδράκι. Την είσοδό του στολίζουν τα αγάλματα του έλαφου και της ελαφίνας. Στην είσοδο αυτή η παράδοση λέει ότι βρισκόταν ο Κολοσσός της Ρόδου, ένα από τα επτά θαύματα της αρχαιότητας. Ένας μακρύς λιμενοβραχίονας, που προστάτευε το λιμάνι, έχει στην μέση του τρεις παλιούς ανεμόμυλους και στην βόρεια άκρη του το φρούριο του Αγ. Νικολάου με το φάρο.
In the east of the modern city there is a portion of ancient Rhodes. This is the ancient harbor - its modern name is Mandraki - with the statues of the deer and the fawn at its entrance. Tradition tells that this was where the famous Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, stood. A long mole, which protects the harbor, has in its middle three old windmills and at its northern end the Fortress of St Nicholas with the lighthouse.
