This is what can happen if you move and rotate your camera during a two second exposure at night, while zooming your lens at the same time. Taken, last night, in the midway area of the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar. I was using my 18-200 zoom lens with a variable neutral density filter on it, which makes it easier to take long exposures.
