Calla Lilly - Another Look
Another view of the Calla that I'm currently exploiting. I keep changing the lights around, and shooting from different vantage points in an attempt to keep it interesting.
I placed a YN560-II in a Honl snoot, behind and below the flower, camera right. It provided the rim lighting, and gave a bit of a glow to the interior of the flower. I wanted to get some light on the little pig tail at the end of the flowers so I placed a YN560 in a softbox above the flower, camera left which also threw some additional light on the front of the leaves and part of the flower. One flash triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N radio trigger, the other was in slave mode. Both strobes in manual mode with the power adjusted until I got the look I wanted.
You can see a black and white version of the flower, below in the comments.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes, can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. In the description for that set, I list resources that I've used to learn how to light with off camera flash. www.flickr.com/photos/9422
Other Callas that I've photographed are in my Calla Lilly set. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157626082181550/
