Barn Owl Plumage

This is one of the two young barn owls currently living in the owl nest house on our property. They've just learned to fly, and are often spreading and flapping their wings to avoid falling of the perch. These are beautiful birds, and they do a great job of rodent control.

 

Strobist info: Lit with one SB600 on a light stand to the right of the owl. Strobe was in TTL mode and was triggered by the pop up flash on my D90 in commander mode.
