This Won't End Well - The Painting By Nancy Baker
This is an oil painting by local artist Nancy Baker, who my wife takes painting classes with. Nancy painted this based on one of my rodeo pictures, but I like it much better than the photograph, because she was able to strip out irrelevant things and used richer more vibrant colors than the real scene. That's what an artist does. My wife bought the painting and surprised me with it for Christmas. I like it a lot.
I lit this with two SB600 strobes, in 24 inch softboxes, one on either side of the painting and at a 45 degree angle to it. The strobes were in TTL mode and were triggered by the pop up flash on my D90 in commander mode.
