Part Way Open Amaryllis Flower

This is an Amaryllis flower which we were given for Christmas, and which I'm documenting as it opens up with a beautiful flower. or flowers. In this image I just photographed the one flower that was most open. I will be documenting it's process.

Lighting: The main light was a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box positioned at camera left and just out of the frame. I used a hand mirror at camera right to bounce some light onto that part of the flower. The flash and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.

Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. For each image in the set, and there are over 1900 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/
