Deep Inside The Purple Iris Cave

This is a rebloomer iris that I picked from the garden this afternoon and brought indoors to photograph where it's easier to control the light.

This was a 2 light setup with the main light being a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box at camera left and just out of the frame. Right side fill light came from a hand held mirror at camera right and another manual Yongnuo flash in a Rogue grid. The strobes and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N,

Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. For each image in the set, and there are over 1700 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/

Other Iris pictures that I've posted on Flickr can be seen in my Iris album. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/albums/72157623861858581
