Colorful Sea Shell With Back Lighting

This is a shell that I brought back from a trip to Baja California, Mexico in 2016. I've had many wonderful trips to the beautiful beaches on the Sea of Cortez and have brought back quite a few shells.

This was a two light setup. The main light was a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box hand held at camera left. The back lighting is from a Yongnuo manual flash in a Rogue grid positioned behind the shell at camera right. Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. For each image in the set, and there are over 1700 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/

Other shells that I've photographed can be seen in my Shells album. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/albums/72157626043932290
