Old Clam Shell In Black And White

I picked this shell off of some beach In Baja California, Mexico years ago and then finally photographed it last April, and then

converted it to black and white today using Nik Software's Silver Efex Pro 2.

Lighting: I first place the shell on a mirror, as I sometimes like that effect. I photographed this indoors, and the lighting is from a simple one light setup using a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box hand held at camera left and just out of the frame. Fill light came from a small hand held mirror at camera right. The strobes and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.

Anything that I lit with off camera strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Objects album which has over 1600 images in it. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/albums/72157628079460544

Other pictures that I've taken of Sea Shells can be seen in my creatively titled "Shells" album.
