A Dynamic Situation
This is blurred so much because I screwed up and moved the camera during the 1/30 second the lens was open. The reason I used a 1/30 sec is that I wanted to record some ambient light, and not have a black background. The flash at 1/4 power only had a duration of about 1/4000 second. What I should have done is use an iso of 400 and a shutter speed of 1/125. Oh well. However, it does add a certain sense of motion to the image so I don't hate it. These birds move so fast.
Lighting stuff: Lit with three Yongnuo strobes on stands positioned on either side and in front of the feeder. The strobes, all set to 1/4 power were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N. I used a camera setting that recorded some ambient light, because I didn't want a black background.
I've taken quite a few pictures of hummers over the years and put them an album creatively called Hummingbirds.
