Unstoppable Force
"In a shocking but somewhat expected turn of events, the Palestinian government officially declared war on the United Kingdom in the early hours of this morning. After weeks of armed confrontations between UNIST and rebels a war seemed imminent. Nevertheless, it is the first time the UK has or will fight a war against another country since The Falklands War in 1982. In a statement released by the Palestinian department of international military affairs, a quote reads 'Too long [has] the Palestinian Government stood by while conflict rages within its own borders. Therefore it has decided to declare war on [the] United Kingdom'. The Prime Minister Duncan Rowe is planning to speak with the Palestinian President to discuss peace terms some time in the near future, however an exact date has not been given." - BBC News

"Okay, I'll admit we as an organisation have made mistakes. We failed to prevent the nuclear annihilation of Tehran last year. We couldn't stop our own headquarters in London from being bombed earlier this year, and when we tried to quell the uprising in Palestine we caused the damn country to go to war with us. We've made some mistakes. But I am determined that the continuation of the military operation in Palestine will not be one. After all, how much worse could things get?" - Colonel Preston, commandant of UNIST's Armoured Fist wing.
"In an attempt to pacify rebellious elements of the Palestinian people, the government of Palestine has declared war on the United Kingdom. This is both unreasonable and unjust. However to resolve such a conflict we need to utilize military intervention! There is no reason behind the actions of the Palestinian Government which suggests that they will not listen to reason from another country. We have no other choice but to see this conflict through to its end." - Major General DeViers, Director of UNIST.
"If you ask me, the whole situation is FUBAR. Y'know, Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition. That FUBAR." - A UNIST Serviceman that wishes to remain anonymous.
Inspired by a scene in Oldboy (2003) and Andrew Somers' A question of 'How?'. For Modern Conflict.
