Intermediate Egret
There are a bunch of white herons in Australia, and 2 of them look similar. In the Intermediate Egret, the gape ends below the eye, whereas in the Great Egret, the gape ends beyond the eye. Not surprisingly, the Intermediate is smaller than the Great, but judging the size of a lone bird can be surprisingly deceptive.
