Blythe body, dying process

I have use Dylon dye for polyamid , silk, wool….fabric. If you use another type of fabric dye you will have no result at all.

I have test it on a Pure neemo body and a TBL body who has the same structure as Takara or licca (arms/legs are made in a different plastic than the torso).

It’s really simple, boil the water, when it’s very hot add 10 coffee spoon of vinagar, then you add your dye powder. You just have to put the body (body part for PN) in the very hot water. It take 20 minutes minimum to get the darker color but you can end the process earlier if you want a lighter color.

You can see the result in the pics, for PN the result is really great, there is almost no difference of shade onto the body . What’s really cool is that it match perfectly whith my face plate (faceplate that i have spray with acrylique paint)

For takara/licca body unfortunatly it didn’t work at all on the torso, it’s sad because the result is awesome in legs/arms, with a soft and matte look

I will try on monday to make a tan body, just need to find the perfect colors. And give a last chance to takara body by sanding the torso before dying
