Swimming Sea Turtle Machine

Check out the function and design process on YouTube!

A couple of years ago I decided to begin pursuing YouTube as a means of better sharing my design process with the world. Although I love sharing my finished mocs, I have always thought that the process of creating itself (and the problems that need to be solved along the way) are what make up the true story of a moc.

Although it has been over a year since I last posted a full length video, my plan is to continue pursuing YouTube as a way to share what I love most about moc building with AFOLs and non-AFOLs alike!

On a personal note, these last couple of years have been a near dark age for myself. Although I have still been active in the community (and posted occasionally), since I graduated school and completed my 3rd Iron Builder round in 2021, I have consistently struggled to create without a large mental drain. My series of LotR vignettes was a much bigger struggle for me to complete than it should have been, pushing my to the point where I knew that I needed to adjust something in my mindset. Since then I have been slowly creating a few smaller mocs that I have shared on YouTube at a pace that I could manage. This turtle moc took me almost a year to create because that pace, but I am now happy to report that after a slow 2023 and a few mental breakthroughs, the last 6 months or so has felt like a breath of fresh air when it comes to creating. It feels as easy now as it did back in high school! I cannot wait to hit the ground running on other exciting mocs now that this project is wrapped up!

Seriously! Watch the video!

(I also need to give a special thanks to Eli and Hadden for their patience with me during the last year as I have been slowly tinkering on this creation. Their advice and encouragement has been invaluable)
