Hand geocoding
I'm looking at the question, "where do you live?" on the batch of survey responses I've received thus far, and decided to hand-geocode them - which resulted in almost exactly the map I expected.
Blue dots are SurveyMonkey responses, largely resulting from a link e-mailed to neighborhood association contacts. Pink dots are paper responses from surveys distributed via the public library, City Hall, the public housing commission, and the free medical clinic.
The resulting map sums up Ypsi's digital divide pretty handily, but also demonstrates the coordination levels of various neighborhood associations.
