COLOR TV by RCA sign
The COLOR TV by RCA signs were widely seen on many motel signs across the USA in the 60s and 70s and beyond. This tribute sign I made last month out of wood. its measures in at 48" x 9-1/4". Its a little longer than the real sign.
The 'by RCA' letters were traced off the computer screen from the real sign. Then a stencil was cut out and the letters transfered to a 1/8th" thick piece of hardwood. The letters were then cut out with a scroll saw.
The COLOR TV letters are just basic stock letters that Michaels Arts & Crafts has.
The colors are what the actual plastic blow mold sign colors were. Rustoleum Painter's Choice was the paint used.
