General Electric's "Garcon" model 2H08

General Electric "Garcon" model 2H08 found at an estate sale in 2014 with virtually no paint left on it.

The Garcon was made from 1937 to 1948 in four colors. White, Ivory, Red and Green. This one was found in a garage at an estate sale for $2.00

Update; New cord added 8-12-2019 and its runs almost whisper quiet. The glass bezel cleaned up nicely. The peeling Ivory colored body was wet sanded (by hand) to bare metal using 180 grit wet-dry sandpaper. The face is faded a little but had no moisture damage. The backing is a blank piece of Masonite with no company / clock information printed on it.

The body was painted with two coats of Rustoleum Canvas White paint followed by four coats of clearcoat. No restoration was done on the face or hands.
