Winter Savanna, Whetstone Savanna Preserve, Jackson County, Oregon

I have done several hours of volunteering at this preserve to help kick-start ponderosa pines that have been planted here. Historically, scattered pines provided habitat and food for a variety of animal species here but they were all cut.
