San Pedro de Atacama is a town in Antofagasta Region, north of Chile. Its dramatic surrounding landscape incorporates desert, salt flats, volcanoes, geysers and hot springs. I was particularly fond of the magnificent views of Licancabur volcano as a reward when coming back to the lodge after a day of exploration.
