The dark blue background and the black silhouettes of the images suggest the darkness of night-time. The size of the numbers helps to add emphasis to them and increase their readability.
The whiteness of the wording looks a little similar to stars shining in the night sky.
It can be seen in the info graphic that the bedbug that bit the person who has been drinking has laid a fraction of the number of eggs than the one that bit the 'clean-blooded' person.
CHANGES: due to Adee's feedback, the eggs were placed in a more prominent spot (closer to the middle) and were lightened and coloured lightly to add emphasis to them. The alcohol bottles were also coloured so as to be more noticeable to viewers.
