Was pretty much a down day. I was about to go do a pulse check on my buddy at 9 or so. LOL He needed a bit more rest after his long walk Tuesday. We had a bite to eat and I took a nap. It had rained a bit in the night and was threatening to do so all morning. About noon we decided to make a run up into Hatcher and shoot some water. Cleaned out the back seat of the pickup enough that Toots could go along. 2 guys camera gear tripods bags etc can eat up a lot of space. :) Off we went. Sprinkling but not bad. Got up to Gateway and was raining a bit more. We unloaded our gear and shot for about 30 minutes as the rain got progressively harder. A lot of cameras and gear out there getting wet fast so back to the truck we went. Well Heck we are this far we may as well poke around up high a bit. The rain continued. We were able to get up close to the snowline but the gate to the mine was closed. Still raining. Stopped on the way down at one of toots fav summer running spots. Also a place where we scare up a ptarmigan now and then. Toots was not real motivated. This is a dog that loves water but hates rain. Frank took her up the mountain a ways in hopes she would stubble on to some birds. She hunted a bit and snuffed a bunch of squirrel boroughs. Of course the squirrels are fast asleep well below. No Birds. So we wandered back home and downloaded our short shoot. About 5 we went into Wasilla and had a bite to eat at a local mom and pops. Franks Treat. Thank You Frank. Frank was a bit surprised we only have one chain restaurant in the valley. Chilis. I have never been in the place. Anyway back home and settled in for the evening. BTY that means I go to sleep on the couch. LOL

Its cloudy as I type this morning but not raining so the plan is to go mooooosing. I think.
