As many of you know I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer back in July and had a couple surgeries. Well here is an update from my Doctor appointment Friday. All good news. PSA was at 1. Much lower than expected. My every 6 week PSA's are pushed out to every 3 months and if the numbers stay constant every 6 months and etc, till its back to yearly.

Once again for the men here if you are 45 or older and havent done so go get a PSA test done NOW. If you are younger than that and there is a history of prostrate cancer in your family start your testing even earlier. Ladies you are generally much smarter about takeing care of medical needs than men so if you have man in your life that thinks hes 10 foot tall and bullet proof prod him, a cattle prod if needed to get a PSA done. A simple blood test and possibly a rectal examination. Trust me that the minor humility of that is one hell of a lot better than what the last few months have been here.

I titled this one Snatch and Grab because I think because we aggressively treated this cancer I snatch my life back from the grim reaper.

I found through this process and being open and honest about it that many folks here on flickr are or have been effected by Prostrate Cancer. And most will tell you had they had earlier intervention their treatment would have been less radical.

Ok Im off my soap box but trust I will be back to give those of you who havent had yer PSA's done hell every few months.
