Here's a pic of a recent minifig I designed. Tiger stripe was by far the most difficult camouflage I've ever tried to replicate in the Lego aesthetic. You can't simply scale down the real thing or else it ends up looking like a muddy mess (maybe thats the point!). At the same time, you cant really get away with doing a "caricature" of the camo either. There are very specific shapes, color placements, and even how smaller elements flow throughout the pattern. If you don't get those right, it ends up looking...off.

 

Tiger stripe is one of my favorite camo patterns, so I really wanted to get it right. I hope the end result speaks for itself!
