Devoted Parent

This Western Gull nested in a popular beach in San Diego and when I arrived, children had chased the chicks to the edge of the water and the parent bird was trying to protect them. After getting the children away from the birds, the gull family made its way to a more secluded part of the beach but the chicks were exhausted. Good luck to them!
