It is said that the Neptune Giambologna would like to do with their genitals bigger but the church forbade. The sculptor, however, did not give up, in fact, designed the statue so that from a certain angle the thumb of his left hand outstretched seems sprout directly from the lower abdomen, similar to an erect penis.
