Fiat Dino Spider - 1968
At the 1966 Turin Show Fiat exhibited the Dino Spider. The engine was inspired in its general architecture by the famous Ferrari Dino V6, used in the car of the same name, and later in the Lancia Stratos. The body was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina. There was also a closed version, the Dino Coupé, produced by Bertone. It had the same specification, but a longer wheelbase. In 1969 engine capacity was raised to 2.418 cc producing 180 hp. It took some time before the classic market recognized their potential.
