Porsche Cayenne Cabriolet Concept - 2003
Package Function Model (PFM)
Porsche was considering further versions of the new Cayenne, including a partial cabriolet with high C-pillar. The developers created a package function model (PFM) on a 1:1 scale. The model was intended to provide a way of evaluating the appearance of the car overall along with its proportions, the impression of openness, the design of the rear passenger compartment and shape of the luggage compartment. The project was eventually ditched, however the two-piece roof concept was adopted for the 991 generation of the 911 Targa.
