DAF Siluro Concept - 1968

The DAF Siluro is a prototype that Giovanni Michelotti developed on the basis of a DAF 55 Coupé.

The Siluro (Italian for 'torpedo') was one of the first cars with a so-called wedge-shape. This 2-seater har the 4-cylinder, 1.108 cc Renault engine in combination with the Variomatic transmission.

After the car was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1968 it was forgotten. When it reappeared it was in need of restoration. The restored Siluro was shown on the stand of the DAF Club Nederland at the 2005 Amsterdam AutoRAI.

The car is part of the collection of the DAF Museum.
