Catherina Coupé Concept - 1964
Coachwork by ASJ - Katrineholm
In the early 1960s, Sixten Sason, Saab's first designer, produced the drawing of a sports car for his own use. ASJ of Katrineholm became interested in the Saab-based design (engine, gearbox and floorpan) and manufactured a prototype christened Catherina. Saab also cherished the thoughts of producing a sports car, and Catherina was one of the contenders for a possible production. It lost to another prototype, MFI 13.
