Saab 900 Cabriolet Concept - 1983
Coachwork by ASC - American Sunroof Company
When the Saab 900 Cabriolet took shape at Saab's design department, two prototypes were made. One of them had a targa-roof and was based on the 900 CombiCoupé, built by custom builder Leif Mellberg in Nyköping, the other one was developed by ASC - American Sunroof Company. Even though they turned out rather alike it was the American entry that won the day and went on show at Frankfurt in 1983.
