Introduced as long ago as 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 'Geländewagen' (cross-country vehicle) was the result of a joint venture with Steyr-Daimler-Puch of Austria, a firm with considerable experience in developing four-wheel-drive systems for off-road vehicles. Its purposeful appearance – fundamentally unchanged throughout its life – and engineering excellence has secured the 'G-Wagen' cult status and earned it a reputation as one of the most coveted of classic 4x4s.

For 1991 a revised (Type 463) chassis was introduced, incorporating the very latest in off-road traction technology in the form of three electronically engaged differentials in addition to anti-lock brakes. There have been countless updates to the Type 463 since then and a host of special variants released, one of the most recent being the Mercedes-AMG G 65 Final Edition. Powered by AMG's 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine developing 630bhp, the G 65 Final Edition accelerates from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 5.3 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 230km/h (143mph). AMG's Speedshift Plus 7G‑tronic automatic transmission delivers power to all four wheels.

Boasting high ground clearance and long-travel suspension, the Mercedes-AMG G 65 offered greater off-road capability than most customers would ever need in an immensely stylish conveyance with not inconsiderable on-the-road presence. Noteworthy features included 21" light-alloy wheels in bronze, silver brake callipers, AMG Sport trim strips to the sides, and numerous bronze-coloured accents. As one would expect, this special model also featured a high-quality interior, the latter being equipped with the 'Designo Exclusive' trim package in black nappa leather with seat side bolsters in a carbon-fibre look and topstitching in light brown. Comfort was assured thanks to multi-contour seating with cooled/heated seats for the driver and front passenger. Like the entire model series, the G 65 Final Edition was produced in Graz, primarily in the factory's hand-finishing section.

Representing possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of these rare and super-exclusive luxury 4x4s, this G 65 AMG Final Edition has not been used and is presented in 'as new' condition. Delivered new to Kuwait, the car is offered with a Kuwait Registration Card..
