MG C Roadster Concept - 1965

Project ADO52

The incredibly rare MGC Roadster was produced by MG in 1965 to test engine and transmission components for MG's forthcoming sports car : the MGC. Using a body shell fitted with pre-1965 MGB pull door handles, assembled by Pressed Steel Fisher Ltd, this prototype was extensively modified to suit the MGC's new engine and torsion bar suspension. Using a Coventry Climax V8 engine, the MGC roadster prototype accrued a total of 200.000 miles during its testing phase.
