NSU 1000 TTS

Conceived as a competition car, the TTS turned out the be fast little road car suitable for everyday use.
From the outside the TTS could be identified by the oil cooler mounted below the registration plate, together with the standard rear bonnet props, which soon became a status symbol.
Its performance was particularly enhanced by a quadruple Solex or Weber carburetor with inlet manifold, enlarged inlet and exhaust ports and a sport exhaust system.
Homologated as a GT car, the TTS became a competitive machine for active racing drivers. The little touring car was very successful in hill-climbs, among other events.
