Peugeot Quasar Concept - 1984

Quasar is the first concept-car designed by the Automobiles Peugeot Style Department. Created and produced in three months by Gérard Welter, Paul Bracq and their team-mate, it was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1984.

Stylists and engineers had the possibility for once to forget about industrial constraints, and their imagination lead them to a total freedom of expression.

The link with known Peugeot cars exists often through the engine and transmission components. In this way one can see the link with the 205 Turbo 16. The chrome plated parts of the engine underline the presence of the Peugeot turbo-charged four cylinder which won its first rallies in 1984.
