FVG - Chiesa di san Daniele
La cima del colle dell'abitato dove sorge la chiesa ospitava un tempo una struttura fortificata di cui si hanno notizie fin dal secolo XI. Le origini delle fortificazioni forse risalgono al periodo romano tardoantico e sono documentate dal ritrovamento di necropoli, strutture insediative ed un tracciato viario. Nell'alto medioevo, in una situazione sociale instabile, l'insediamento si concentrò sul colle fortificato dove probabilmente venne costruita la primitiva chiesa. Gli scavi archeologici all'interno hanno evidenziato le strutture bassomedievali, la fase romanica ed una fase anteriore. La chiesa attuale(secolo XVIII) conserva alcuni elementi delle chiese precedenti.

FVG - Church of San Daniele. The top of the hill where the church stands once housed a fortified structure which we have news of since the 11th century. The origins of the fortifications perhaps date back to the late Roman period and are documented by the discovery of necropolis, settlement structures and a road layout. In the early Middle Ages, in an unstable social situation, the settlement concentrated on the fortified hill where the primitive church was probably built. The archaeological excavations inside have highlighted the late medieval structures, the Romanesque phase and an earlier phase. The current church (XVIII century) retains some elements of the previous churches.
