Cornino (Curnin in friulano) è una frazione del comune di Forgaria nel Friuli (UD) situata sulla destra idrografica fiume Tagliamento, nota per la presenza di un importante ponte di collegamento stradale e ferroviario, favorita dalla presenza dell'isolotto del Clapat.
A Cornino è presente anche la l'omonima stazione ferroviaria da cui si servono gli abitanti del comune.
Cornino nella storia
Durante i giorni della Battaglia di Caporetto, il 3 novembre 1917, le truppe austro-ungariche riuscirono a passare il fiume passando sul ponte del paese causando la rottura della linea difensiva del Tagliamento e la successiva ritirata dell'esercito italiano fino al Piave.

Cornino (Curnin in Friulian) is a fraction of the municipality of Forgaria nel Friuli (UD) located on the right bank of the Tagliamento river, known for the presence of an important road and rail link bridge, favored by the presence of the Clapat islet.
In Cornino there is also the homonymous railway station which serves the inhabitants of the municipality.

During the days of the Battle of Caporetto, on November 3, 1917, the Austro-Hungarian troops managed to cross the river by passing over the town bridge, causing the break of the Tagliamento defensive line and the subsequent retreat of the Italian army to the Piave.
